Rolling his eyes he turned to Felix, hoping he would find his best friend to be in his corner; only to be met with the sight of Felix with his hands up in the air. "You are on your own with this one Demetri". From behind him he heard Heidi begin to laugh, and the tracker found it difficult not to join in on the merriment. The Bloodwein flowed that night.

also to be noted: there are actually two windows in the guest room, both on the same wall. as i mentioned in chapter 16, the first of which is above the desk (left hand side as you walk in), but there is another one located in the bathroom (so the far right hand side)

also to note, i know smeyer has it canon that the volturi live in palazzo dei priori, but that doesn't make any sense to me. it's a 3 floor, "communal" building, established in the 13th century CE. i'm retconning her failure to research – instead, that is still where edweird threw his tantrum, but the actual volturi hideout is located in the same place as the nearby palazzo incontri viti, just a short vamp walk away through the sewers... they still own the clock tower and palazzo, but the italian government secretly rents it from them in my fics, so the volturi do not occupy it. in my mind the building is bigger, so the shops on the sides of it don't exist. like the irl palazzo viti, it is still also a museum, which is run by heidi, aro, and caius, which is on the ground level (this is not the same thing as the private gallery felix takes julia on a tour of). part of the ground level, of course, is only accessible through heidi's special guided tours, if you're human and not the secretary. this is because the fake throne room/feeding room, real throne room, reception area, elevator, access to the underground floors, museum and museum bathrooms, the astronomy/observatory tower, queens' tower, watchtower, gardens, great hall/ballroom, the garage, and what i like to refer to as the "sun room" are all accessible on that floor. my palazzo viti, of course, to make up for it being bigger, is going to look different, which is why i described it in much more detail this chapter than i normally describe things. i'm hoping to have an actual floor plan made, too.

also, not all the volturi live there. most members are assigned to various strongholds across the globe, which i will elaborate on eventually. 

additionally, i'm locking into archeological sites in volterra, trying to find where i want to put the original volturi fortress that the kings would've established in the 6th century BCE when they established volterra. palazzo viti is just their current residence. i'll update y'all when i've got it figured out.

i hope you guys enjoy all the work i put into this. i did a lot of research of the natural flora and fauna of tuscany, the rock that is found there and therefore likely to be used for buildings, research in what volterra is actually like, etc.

With a deep sigh he leaned back against his seat, absentmindedly tracing the wooden patterns on the table sat before him. The younger ones continued hurling insults until Athenodora and Sulpicia's laughter reached them from up in their tower. Then the two of them knew the argument had either become terribly dull or silly, prompting it's end.

‧𓍢ִ໋ 🍷🌲 ׂ 𓈒 ⋆ ۪  Those of you who have been here since the dawn of Volterran-Wine may remember a little holiday event I did in 2021. I am talking about nothing less than my Volturi Advent Calendar. It was quite the fun event, and after that specific year I have been asked on occasion if I would bring it back.

2024 shall be that year.

This time around there will be a greater focus on Oneshots. Yes, you heard correctly; 25 days of Volturi stories. Though I will also be adding some moodboards, edits and playlists if I fancy it.

Characters to be written about: Aro, Caius, Marcus, Sulpicia, Athenodora, Demetri, Felix, Jane, Alec, Heidi, Renata, Corin, Santiago, Chelsea, Afton, The Secretary, The Archivist, and Leo. But also; one of my little helpers has ensured that the infamous S/O shall return this winter, a true ghost of Christmas past.

God rest ye merry gentlemen, gentlewomen and gentlefolk; Christmas is coming to Volterra once more.

At the moment I only write and edit for The Volturi, and I don’t see that changing anytime soon. That includes the Kings, Queens and the Entire Guard. There is a special pardon given to Carlisle because my guilty pleasure ship is Carlisle x Aro. Eleazar has also been added to the roster as of 2024. Other characters may be mentioned here and there, but they will not be the focal point of my writing. There are also OC's of mine that pop up here and there!

I take general questions about both the rest of canon for the most part. But I do not do headcanons, imagines, edits or moodboards about other characters upon request. If you want that I would recommend going to @kemet-shedeh which is volterran-wine’s sister blog dedicated to the Amun & co. Or @vin-de-draco who is dedicated to Stefan and Vladimir.

I only do headcanons with up to 3 characters a request. The author likes to go deep into the characters heads.

I see Alec and Jane as children (12/13), so I will not write about them in a romantic or sexual manne. But I’ll gladly elaborate on what kind of platonic relationships they have within the Volturi in general.

I take both SFW & NSFW requests. But I reserve the right to not write about something I find uncomfortable or behaviors that totally go against how I view the characters.

I receive a fair amount of requests when I open my inbox fully. Due to the volume I cannot guarantee I will answer everything, or do it in a timely manner. As the author I reserve the right to answer what inspires me and gives me joy.

I do not answer requests chronologically, I pace out the characters so I do not spam the blog with only Caius content as an example.

Unless otherwise specified I always write S/O’s as gender neutral. I want my blog to be a nice space where everyone can indulge in their favourite characters.
